You’re not behind.
You just haven’t been shown yet.
Nobody sat you down and explained what modern technology can actually do for your work, your home and your health. That’s all that’s happened. Give us the next twenty minutes and we’ll fix the biggest part of it.
Where are you standing right now?
Three honest starting points. Choose the one that sounds most like your Tuesday.
“I’m curious but clueless”
You keep hearing about AI. You’ve maybe tried it once. You don’t know what it’s genuinely good at, what it’s useless at, or how to ask it anything properly.
“My business is eating me alive”
Quotes, invoices, follow-ups, bookings, admin. All manual. All you. You’re working evenings on paperwork instead of on the thing you’re actually good at.
“Our household is chaos”
Six calendars, no system. Documents in four places. Nobody knows who’s fetching the kids. Money is a mystery until the statement arrives.
Seven days. Twenty minutes each.
A completely different relationship with tech.
You don’t need a course. You need seven small, deliberate actions in the right order. Here they are, free, in full. Do one a day.
Find where your hours actually go
For one day, jot down every task that felt repetitive, annoying or manual. Don’t solve anything yet. Just write it down — on paper, in your notes app, wherever. Most people are shocked to find the same four things appear over and over.
Output: a list of 10–20 annoyances.
Choose your single target
From yesterday’s list, circle the one that costs you the most — in hours, money, or peace of mind. Not the easiest one. The most expensive one. Everything else waits. This discipline is the whole difference between people who change and people who collect bookmarks.
Output: one sentence starting “Every week I lose…”
Learn to actually ask
Open any AI assistant. Instead of a one-line question, give it three things: who you are, what you’re trying to achieve, and what a good answer looks like. Then ask it to ask you clarifying questions before answering. That single move changes the output more than any tool switch ever will.
Output: one genuinely useful answer.
Twenty minutes of digital safety
Turn on two-factor authentication for your email and your banking. Your email is the master key to everything else — protect it first. Then learn the three signs of a modern scam: urgency, an unusual payment method, and a link that doesn’t match the sender.
Output: 2FA on your two most important accounts.
Get your first win on the board
Not the big problem yet — something tiny. An automatic reminder. A recurring calendar block. A saved reply template. A rule that files certain emails automatically. The point is to feel the click of something being handled without you.
Output: one thing that now happens by itself.
Pick your single calendar and single list
Chaos is almost never a tools problem — it’s a too many tools problem. Choose one calendar everything goes into and one list everything gets captured on. Delete or ignore the rest. Share the calendar with whoever needs it.
Output: one calendar, one list, shared.
Make it survive contact with real life
Book a recurring 20-minute slot — Friday afternoon or Sunday evening. In it you do three things: look at what’s coming, capture anything loose, and ask “what did I do more than twice this week that a machine could have done?” That last question is the engine. It will keep feeding you improvements for years.
Output: a recurring appointment with yourself that you actually keep.
